Composition of Mineral insulated cable

Mineral insulated cable is a kind of cable which uses annealed copper as conductor, dense magnesium oxide as insulation and annealed copper pipe as sheath. If necessary, it can be squeezed with a layer of plastic outer sheath around the annealed copper sheath. For specially required occasions, a layer of low-smoke halogen free sheath can be applied.

1. Rated voltage of mineral insulated cables:

Light duty (BTTQ, BTTVQ, WD-BTTYQ) 500V and heavy load (BTTZ, BTTVZ, WD-Bttyz)

2. Test voltage of finished mineral insulated cable:

Light duty 2000V/1min, heavy duty 2500V/1min

3. Insulation resistance for the mineral insulated cable should be more than 1000 m Ω, when the cable length is less than 100 m, insulation resistance should be greater than 10000 m Ω
4. Long-term working temperature of mineral insulated cables:

Mineral insulated cable long - term operating temperature is 70℃, in unmanned occasions, the long-term working temperature of material insulated cable is 105℃. In special high temperature occasions, the long-term working temperature can be up to 250℃. At 950-1000℃, it can continue power supply for more than 3h with the short or very short period, working temperature can reach 1083℃.

5. Bending radius:
