I.Introduction

A wireline swivel joint is used to minimize the line twist when running in and pulling out of the well. It is usually located below rope socket and the bearings permits rotational movement when maintaining longitudinal rigidity in the tool string. This design is suitable to handle impact from heavy upwards and downward jarring.

III.Structure characteristics :

The Swivel Joint is the component of wireline tool string, which is designed to assist in the changing of components in the wireline tool string. The swivel design allows the operator to change out long sections without having to physically rotate them. The wireline swivel joint is installed directly below the rope socket to provide rotation of the tool string, normally the swivel joint incorporates Heavy-Duty Thrust Bearings for durability and reliability.

Swivel Joint is designed to allow a toolstring to rotate freely when suspended under load.
