【Heel Blade Lancet Description】

Heel blade infant lancet is sterile, single-use and not made with natural rubber latex. Heel lancet utilizes an automated lancing mechanism that delivers a smooth incision with less trauma to the heel. Heel blade safety lancet features a hardened stainless steel micro surgical blade that generates a less traumatic and more accurate incision as well as a welded casing to help prevent accidental exposure to the blade.

【Heel Blade Lancet Benefits】

Studies have shown that the need for repeat sticks when using a micro-blade heel lancet is virtually eliminated, also a reduction in pain response from the infant test subjects. Post testing showed that the incision site is often well healed within 24 hours with minimal signs of prolonged superficial bruising or hematoma. Additionally, the blood samples obtained by the micro-blade preemie lancet device improved testing accuracy and enabled the blood to flow more naturally without the need to press or massage.

【Heel Blade Lancet Use Instructions】

Step 1: Open the individual sterile blister package and take the pediatric lancet out.

Step 2: Remove the safety tab and make the newborn heel lancet ready for sampling.

Step 3: Put the puncture slot (arrow part) against the opmital samping sites firmly.

Step 4: Press the button of the heel lancet and make the penetration done.

Step 5: Dispose the used infant safety lancet in a sharps container.

Step 6: Wiped away the first drop of blood gently with a dry sterile gauze pad.

Step 7: Collect the blood samples with a capillary tube (or similar device), or allow the blood to drip on the specimen collection card directly.
