Definition of Header

According to its location, there are upper header and lower header or inlet header and outlet header. According to the types of tube bundles collected, they are divided into water wall header, superheater header, economizer header, etc.

The main function is to collect the working medium, or redistribute the working medium to other pipelines through the header, that is, to collect, mix and distribute the working medium, so as to ensure the uniform distribution and heating of the working medium. The lower header, also known as anti coking box, is located on both sides of the grate and directly contacts with the burning coal seam. Its function is to cool the coking slag and not bond with the side wall.

Function of Header
