1. Shake the can
Shaking the can mixes the pigment inside the can that may have
settled during storage. There’s a mixing ball inside the can that’s
why there’s this rattling sound when you shake it. Make sure to
shake it a bit more than what’s written in the instructions.
2. . Test on the surface
Find a discrete spot on the surface and test the paint out. Some
surfaces may not react too well with the paint. It’s better to find
out sooner than after you’ve finished with the painting.
3. Spray
Check the distance as indicated by the can instructions. Spray
evenly and quickly moving the can up-down and side-to-side
direction. Go an inch over the edges (hence the need for masking).
In most cases, it’s better to spray thin coats in 15 minute
intervals. Shake the can and test spray before each go.
