Ultrasonic converter, the core part in various ultrasonic applications, such as ultrasonic plastic welding machine, ultrasonic cutting, ultrasonic metal welder, cleaning machine, ultrasonic emulsification application, etc.

To fully utilize the advantages of the ultrasonic converter, the matching with the ultrasonic generator and the welding horn is of the utmost importance and has a decisive impact on the final equipment performances. The importance of matching cannot be overemphasized. The most essential factor to consider in matching is the capacitance of the converter followed by the frequency of the transducer. While matching with the ultrasonic power box, the generator should adjust the high voltage transformer to match the parameters of capacitor plate, peaking coil, FM coil, etc per the converter's capacitance. The amplifier board, choke coil and other peripheral circuits also affect the matching due to the sensitivity of inductance and capacitance. As the work proceeds, the temperature of the converter rises also, resulting in an increase in capacitance that may vary by more than 50%. If the capacitance cannot be effectively matched, it will result in a large phase difference between current and voltage in the loop, the current may look very large, but the transducer has no force, easy to be heated, and the electrical components of the power device are also easy to be damaged. Generally, the electrode plate of the transducer (ear) is likely to crack or burn off from this cause.
