MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLE CONSTRUCTION

1. Conductor: Copper or aluminium (class1 or class 2)

2. Inner semi-conducting layer

3. Insulation: Cross inked polyethylene (XLPE)

4. Outer semi-conducting layer

5. Armoured or Unarmoured

6. Wrapping of conductive material

7. Screen: Braiding of copper wires or copper tape

8. Separator

9. Outer jacket: PVC or PE

MEDIUM VOLTAGE CABLE APPLICATION

MV xlpe cable is used to transmit and distribute power in power transmission and distribution system of 35kV or lower. It is generally applied to the fields including power, construction, mines, metallurgy, petrochemical industry and communication in complete replace of oil immersed paper insulated power cable and in partial replace of PVC insulated power cable.

Suitable for power transmission and distribution lines with rated voltage 3.6/6 kV~26/35 kV.

4. Max operating temperature of con. When cable short-circuited(5s maximum duration): 250℃
