Carbonless paper is divided into upper page paper, middle page paper and lower page paper. The next side of the upper and middle pages is coated with a certain kind of medicine, and the upper side of the middle and lower pages is coated with another kind of chemical. After combining in the order of the upper, middle, and lower pages, when the impact force of the printing needle or the pressure of the pen tip is applied, the two different medicines will meet and show brilliant marks to achieve the purpose of copying.

The upper page of paper is called CB paper, and only the lower side is coated with CB drugs and called CB side; the next page is called CF paper, and only the upper side is coated with CF drugs and called CF side; middle page paper Called CFB paper, the upper side is coated with CF and the other side is coated with CB. It is very important when dyeing carbonless paper. CB medicine is a coating containing capsules, binders and additives. The particle size of the capsule is only 3～7цm, the outer shell is made of resin, and the inside is covered with solvent oil containing leuco dye. When the capsule is destroyed by external force, the dye oil will flow out. If the CB surface is attached to the CF surface at this time, the dye oil will flow to the CF surface to make the CF drug look better. The CF drug contains color development. The color developing agent is mainly some resin and activated clay.
