• BRPV series PV Surge Protective Device 40KA DC 1000V SPD suitable
for the new energy wind power generation system, its working
voltage covers 600V, 1000Vand 1500V.
• BRPV3-1000 type 2 solar PV surge arresters/SPD is designed to
protect DC powered equipment against lightning surge voltages in
photovoltaic power supply network, such as inverters, combiner
boxes and charge controllers.
• The protection flow is large, the residual pressure is very low,
and the response time is fast.
• It utilizes high energy metal oxide varistors/MOV
• Photovoltaic DC surge protector is a lightning protection product
designed for the solar photovoltaic system based on the relevant
standards.
• With the power status indication, it indicates the working state
of surge protector.

ground wire of the lightning protection system.
2. Surge protector is installed with 35MM standard guide rail

4. Lightning arrester must be reliably connected to the ground wire
of the lightning protection system, and the connection line is
short, thick and straight.
Working principle of product:
In the solar photovoltaic system, the inductive or capacitive
coupling voltage is caused by the lightning shock and the switching
operation of the upstream power supply system. Therefore, the surge
may damage the photovoltaic modules and inverters, which will cause
serious consequences for the operation of the photovoltaic system.
The photovoltaic lightning arrester is specially developed for this
purpose. The lightning protection module of the DC power supply,
once the high voltage, and endanger the insulation of the protected
equipment, the lightning arrester acts immediately, and the high
voltage impact current is directed to the earth, thus limiting the
amplitude of the voltage and protecting the insulation of the
equipment. When the overvoltage is gone, the arrester is restored
to its original state quickly, so as to protect the power
equipment.
