40kA Three Phase AC SPD Description:
• BR-40 AC SPD series surge protection device (in short SPD, alias:
surge suppressor surge arrester) is suitable for TN-S, TN-C-S, TT
etc., power supply system of AC 50/60Hz. It's designed according to
IEC61643-1, GB18802.1, it adopts 35mm standard rail, there is a
failure release mounted on the module of surge protection device,
when the SPD fails in breakdown for over heat and over-current, the
failure release will help electric equipment separate from the
power supply system and give the indication signal, green means
normal, red means abnormal.
• Intensity of Remote Signalling Alarm Contact
• AC Type 2 SPD is the secondary protection system for all low
voltage electric installations. This is installed in to each
electrical switch boards and prevents the spread of surges in the
electric systems, protecting the loads. Generally used for incomer
feeders of main distribution panels.
• Failure indication and centralized remote signalling alarm dry
contacts;
• BR-40 series Surge Protection are designed to protect against
lighting surge voltages. These units must be installed in parallel
on the AC networks to be protected and provide common and
differential modes protection.

Installation:

• In areas where storms are frequent, it is strongly recommended to
install additional protection systems.
