The 1762-IT4 is an AB MicroLogix 1200 Thermocouple/mV Input Module. This thermocouple/mV module is used to digitally review and store converted thermocouple and/or millivolt analog date from up to 4 thermocouple or millivolt analog sensors. This thermocouple/mV module features a terminal block with a cold junction compensation sensor. Each input channel is individually configurable through software for specific input devices, data format, and filter frequency, and provides open-circuit, over-range, and under-range detection and indication. Communicates to the controller through the bus interface. The modules also receive 5 and 24 Volt DC power through the bus interface. This product is approved for installation within the European Union and EEA regions. All 1762 Thermocouple/mV modules receive its power from the 1762 expansion I/O bus. The power supply distance rating of this 1762 Thermocouple/mV module is 6. The rated working voltage of 1762-IT4 is 30 Volts AC. The input filtering of a 1762 Thermocouple module is a programmable notch filter.

The 1762-IT4 has 4 inputs channels plus 1 CJC sensor. The 1762-IT4 has a resolution of 15 bits plus sign. Installation should be in an industrial enclosure to reduce the effects of electrical interference. Analog inputs are extremely susceptible to electrical noise.
