Cutting structure
The reamer is mainly composed of four or more cones. The main
cutting teeth are a new wear-resistant alloy welded by cemented
carbide blades and tungsten steel. The high-quality tungsten
carbide teeth with new formula and new technology can extend the
service life of the reamer. The guide is a roller cone bit or a
pneumatic bit.
Sealing and lubrication
The bearing seals adopt high-performance O-ring seals or
metal-sealed bearings and imported special grease for drills.

Introduction
HDDD hole openers for horizontal drilling
Horizontal reamer, also known as HDDD reamer, is used to expand the
pilot hole of horizontal directional drilling (HDDD) - HDDD is used
when grooves and excavations are not practical. This drilling
technique allows drilling underground in a manipulable trenchless
manner.
There are three stages
1. The first stage is to drill a small diameter guide hole.
2. The second stage is to enlarge the hole with a larger diameter
tool called HDD reamer.
3. The third step is to insert the casing or other product into the
reaming hole.
The main structure features
The Rock Reamer with replaceable cutter was developed for large
diameter HDD projects where extended life downhole is critical. The
larger bearing and cutters dramatically extend the downhole life
over smaller, conventional-style cutters.
The replaceable cutter sets are available in both TCI and Milled
Tooth styles to fit for all sorts of rock formation. All bit's
bodies have three-six cutters and can open four different hole
sizes.
All cutters bearing is metal sealed. Cutters lock is used for
preventing cutter failing off.
