The DS200FCGDH1B is a gate distribution and status card (FCGD).
Developed by General Electric for their Mark V board series, this
card can be installed in a number of GE brand drives. When
installed, this card acts as an interface system for the six pulse,
phase controlled non-reversing bridge. The DSPC (digital signal
processing card) relays information to this board to decipher. From
this, signals regarding diagnostic information and system feedbacks
are produced. These feedbacks are then sent out using the drive’s
integrated VME backplane.
DS200FCGDH1B collects a large amount of data from the drive’s
integrated DSPC. Signals received by the board are translated into
cell gating signals. All system bridge legs receive this cell
gating signals and return multiplexed cell status information to
this card. Feedback signals are also received and scaled by the
FCGD board. Three FGPA boards send feedback signals via fiber optic
connections found on board. Included feedback are frequency,
voltage, and board status information. An integrated IMOK LED
status indicator provides users with basic system status.
