air suspension systems use air springs and air to operate. When air
springs, or air bags, are installed on your vehicle, you can
inflate and deflate them based on your specific needs. Inflating
the springs will raise the vehicle and deflating them will lower
it.

instance, an air suspension system offers a smoother ride than

How does a hydraulic suspension work?
While an air suspension uses an air bag to replace the springs, a
hydraulic suspension uses a hydraulic actuator -- a bladder that
can be filled quickly with fluid. It's attached to a compressor,
which shoots liquid into the actuator with incredible force,
causing it to expand rapidly.
