Description

Butt welding elbow is a steel hot pressed or forged elbow. Its connection form is to directly butt weld the elbow with the steel pipe. Long radius elbows require control of the radius of curvature. For example, if the radius length is 1.5D, the radius of curvature must be within the required tolerance. In order to improve the welding quality, the end is beveled, with a certain angle and a certain edge. This requirement is also relatively strict. There are many requirements for the thickness of the edge, the angle and the deviation range. There are many more items than the pipe fittings in the geometric dimension. The surface quality and mechanical properties of the elbow are basically the same as that of the pipe. For the convenience of welding, the material of the steel of the connected pipe shall be the same.
