Gabion Box Description

Welded gabion baskets

The welded gabion baskets is made from electric welded wire mesh panels connected by spirals/helicals assembled with spacers/stiffeners.

Welded Mesh size: 100 x 100 mm (other available mesh size: 50 x 50mm,100 x 50mm and 75mm x 75mm)

Material wire: Heavy duty galvanized wire diameter from 3.0mm to 6.0mm (galfan coated wire available).

Normal Gabions size:

2.0 x 1.0 x 1.0m, 2.0 x 1.0 x 0.5m, 2.0 x 0.5 x 0.5m, 2.0 x 0.3 x 0.3m,

Packing: Each set is flat packed and then on pallet.

Hexagonal Gabion Box

A gabion (from Italian gabbione meaning "big cage"; from Italian gabbia and Latin cavea meaning "cage") is a cage, cylinder, or box filled with rocks, concrete, or sometimes sand and soil for use in civil engineering, road building, and military applications.

Material: Hot-dipped galvanized wire, Zn-5%-Al wire, Hot-dipped galvanized wire with PVC coated, Zn-10%-Al wire.
Weaving method: it is assembled with cover pieces; side pieces and bottom pieces are produced separately and then assembled to a basket with lacing wire or hog rings. It is common practice to choose a thicker wire to make selvedge wire, which can increase the strength of the basket.
