Operation Guidance

• When the cable plug of disposable plasma probe is correctly connected to the equipment, the equipment will display the default power value. Each plasma probe has the maximum power limitation.
• The disposable plasma probe connection wire shall be correctly placed, so as to prevent it from being damaged, thus contacting the patient or other charged conductors.
• Caution: In the process of ablation and coagulation, the operating surgeon shall be aware that the electronic equipment can cause electrical stimulation to muscle tissues.

Precautions for the use of plasma probe in combination with plasma surgical system equipment:

a) Please check the expiration date of disposable plasma probe before use. If the package is damaged, it is not allowed to use.

b) The patient shall not contact to the metal components of grounded (e.g., operating table, holder, etc.). The use of antistatic plates is recommended.

c) The disposable plasma probe cable shall avoid the contact with patients or other leads, and the temporarily unused disposable plasma probe shall be placed away from the patient.

d) Under the normal operation setting, if the output is significantly reduced or the surgical equipment fails to function normally, it may be indicative of poor contact or improper use of probe.

e) The flammable cleaning agents or the solvent in the adhesive agents shall be evaporated before the radiofrequency plasma surgery. The flammable fluids that are present under the patient body or in the depressions of the body (e.g. umbilicus) and in the body cavity (intravaginal) must be wiped off before using the plasma surgical system equipment. Pay attention to the risk of fire caused by the contained gas. Some flammable materials, such as absorbent cotton and gauze filled with oxygen, may be ignited by the sparks generated in the normal use of equipment.

f) High-frequency current may interfere with the operation of cardiac pacemaker. It is noted that the current loop shall not pass through the active implantable device (such as cardiac pacemaker) in the patient body.

g) When the disposable plasma probe is installed and the equipment is powered on, it is necessary to avoid the contact with the operating part of electrode and the metal enclosure of equipment at the same time; when the physiological monitoring equipment is used in the same patient, it shall be kept away from the plasma probe as far as possible.
