The AB 2097-V34PR3 is part of the Kinetix 300 Servo Drives. This EtherNet/IP indexing device has a 480 Volts AC RMS, three-phase input voltage with 1.00 kilowatts of continuous power output, and does not come with an AC line filter. It serves as a single-axis solution to low axis count motion control applications. Typical uses include simple packaging machinery, feed and withdrawal equipment, indexing tables, tool-changing machinery, and automatic assembly equipment. The 2097-V34PR3 EtherNet/IP Indexing Servo Drive enables the integration of an entire control solution over one standard Ethernet/IP. This promotes the easy commissioning and configuration of the motors, servo drives, and actuators. The MotionView OnBoard software that is integrated into the drive is used for web-based configuration. For proper operation, the following configurations must be set up: EtherNet communication, motor, user units, digital and analog I/O, and auto-tune of drive/motor system.

It eliminates the need for a dedicated Motion Control network and gives way to a single enterprise-wide network. This type of structure offers simplified wiring and panel design. The drive features a memory module for automatic device replacement. It can execute 5 different index types as well as S-curve and trapezoidal moves. Its control architecture also supports as many as 32 index capabilities for position control. Kinetix 300 Servo Drives are designed with internal solid-state motor short-circuit protection. The built-in Safe Torque-Off is certified at ISO 13849-1 PLD/SIL2 promoting safety within the area of operation and of personnel. This safety feature prevents the drive or motor from restarting after the circuit is tripped. Maintenance and troubleshooting tasks such as machine setup, cleaning, and removal of jams can now be accomplished without removing power from the entire system.
