Knitted filter mesh introduction:
There are many aliases of gas-liquid filter mesh, which is also
called foam breaking mesh, demister mesh, fog catching mesh,
demister net, etc. To put it simply, the gas-liquid filter mesh is
a kind of net woven by crocheting. Generally, the diameter of
stainless steel wire used is between φ 0.10mm and φ 0.30mm, and the
width of the screen is 100mm, 150 mm, 300 mm, 400 mm, 500 mm, 560
mm and 600 mm; The mesh size includes: 3x4mm, 4x5mm, 7x12mm and
other types. Usually, the woven mesh will be pressed with 20-45
degree bevel 2-7mm deep ripples.

Materials of construction are a key consideration for maximizing
the service life of the kitted wire mesh used in making mist
eliminator.
We provide custom manufactured knitted wire mesh specified by the
client. Typical stainless steel, polypropylene mesh are maintained
in inventory. Other alloy steels and polymeric materials are
available by special order. Extremely high surface area units by
co-knitting of stainless steel and multifilament glass fiber or
PTFE fiber are available by special order. We are able to provide
technical input for material selection to the customers.
How to choose knitted wire mesh?
In order to choose a suitable gas-liquid filter screen, the first
thing to know is the material composition of the gas-liquid filter
screen. The materials of the gas-liquid filter screen can be
roughly divided into three categories: metal, non-metal and mixed
metal and non-metal wire. Among them, metals include: stainless
steel wire, alloy wire, pure titanium wire, Monel, Inconel,
galvanized wire, copper wire, brass wire, etc. Nonmetal category
includes: polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and polypropylene, etc.
The interweaving categories of metal and non-metal wires include:
stainless steel mixed with glass fiber, stainless steel mixed with
polytetrafluoroethylene, stainless steel mixed with polypropylene,
stainless steel mixed with cotton thread, etc.
Secondly, the purpose of selecting the gas-liquid filter screen
should be clear, for example, selecting whether the gas-liquid
filter screen is used to make a mesh demister, or a filter screen
for gas-liquid separation, gas-water separation, oil-water
separation and other devices, or a shielding device for electronic
and electrical products against electromagnetic interference and so
on. Different use of gas-liquid filter screen, the choice of
materials are also very different.
