The 1794-CE3 FLEX I/O Extender Cable has a 3 foot (0.9 meter) length and is manufactured by Rockwell Automation/AB. AB 1794-CE3 Extender Cable is for arranging the FLEX I/O system into 2 rows or splitting the system into vertical and horizontal alignments. The extender cable is also connected 1794-FLA to the FlexLogix controller for an extended local FLEX rail. The cable can as well be used between any module and adapter. Flex I/O Extender Cable features an Open enclosure type and a DIN Rail with Panel mounting type. It’s Temperature Rating is between 0 and 60 DEG C and application is for in-cabinets. Alternatively, 1794-CE1 (0.3 meters, 1foot) or 1794-CE3 (0.9 meters, 3 feet) extender cable can be used to split or arrange the system in two rows or into vertical and horizontal layouts.

These terminal bases provide terminal connection points for the I/O wiring and as well plug in to form a backplane. These are also available in screw and spring terminations. One adapter communicates to eight I/O modules and initiates a connection to about 256 digital input/output points, or 96 analog input/output points, or a mix of I/O to meet your requirements.
