API 16A Cast Body Ram BOP / Blowout Preventer for Drilling Rig

Product Overview

Annular blowout preventer is manipulated by hydraulic control system. When it is shut off, high pressure oil flows into piston underside closed cavity through the oil port in central shell, to push piston upwards, and the conical surface of piston squeezes rubber core. Due to the restrictions of head cover, rubber core can't go upwards but is pushed towards the center of wellhead until it enclasps drilling tool or enclose wellhead totally to shut the well. When well needs to be opened, manipulate the reversing valve of hydraulic control system, so that high pressure oil should flow into the open cavity on top of piston through the oil mouth on shell, to push piston downwards and decompress closed cavity, in which case, the extrusion force on the conical surface of rubber core is removed, and the rubber core is reset gradually with the action of its own elastic force to open wellhead.

Ram BOP is mainly composed of housing, side gate, hydro-cylinder, cylinder cap, piston, piston rod, lock shaft, sealing parts, ram, etc. Oil well's sealing or opening is achieved by moving ram, which is driven by piston rod and piston with hydraulic force.

6. Annular BOP with tapered rubber is composed of seven parts as upper housing,wear plate,body,piston,tapered rubber,anti-dust ring and supporting cylinder.
7. The dynamic seal of annular BOP adopts the sealing ring of lip structure,which reduces the wearing of sealing ring to the maximum,and the sealing is reliable;the rubber is not easy to fold back,and there is the effect of funnel;and the well pressure has the function of assisting sealing,etc.
8. Seal element molded with two different styles of inserts to reduce closing volume and increase closing cycles.
9. A piston design that provides complete balance more reliable operation and ease of assembly.
10. An opening chamber head hat prevents debris from falling into the chambers when replacing the seal element.
