Functions and Features:
During the long-haul transmission of optical signals, the
attenuation of the signals is high. Hence, the BA is required to
ensure that the optical receiver can receive normal optical
signals.
The BA2 amplifies the power of two-channel optical signals. Table 1
provides the functions and features of the BA2.

NOTICE:
The wavelength of the optical signal transmitted to the BA2 must be
within the range from 1530 nm to 1565 nm. Otherwise, the input
optical signal cannot be amplified correctly. Hence, make sure that
the output wavelength of the line board that is interconnected with
the BA2 is within the required range.
NOTE:
The BA2 provides the intelligent power adjustment (IPA) function.
When the IPA function is enabled and no input signals are detected
on the receive side of a line board, the pumping laser is turned
off to prevent high laser power from damaging the eyes.
