The wet cylinder liner is in direct contact with the cooling water, so it is beneficial to the cooling of the engine and the small lightweight of the engine.

The functions of the cylinder liner:

1. Together with the cylinder head and piston constitute the cylinder working space.

2. Cylinder liner of cylinder piston diesel engine bears the side thrust of piston, and cylinder liner assembly is the lead of reciprocating movement of piston.

3. Transfer the heat of the piston assembly and itself to the cooling water so that the working temperature is appropriate.

4. The cylinder liner of the two-stroke diesel engine is arranged with a gas port, which is opened and closed by the piston to realize the gas distribution.
