Product Details
The audit objective was to verify the implementation of the actions
taken by the competent authority (CA) in response to the
recommendations made in the previous audit report
(DG(SANTE)/2018-6455-MR1), and to assess their effectiveness in
correcting the deficiencies previously found.
In terms of scope, the audit covered poultry meat and products
derived therefrom intended for export to the EU and covered by the
relevant health certificates (e.g. Commission Regulation (EC) No
798/2008 and Commission Decision 2007/777/EC). In the areas
covered, the audit
focused on the implementation of the actions referred to above and
their impact on:
the organisation and competencies of the competent authorities,
including oversight and enforcement, at all relevant levels; their
performance in terms of the design and on-the-ground implementation
of the official control systems in place covering the production,
processing and distribution chains of meat and product derived
therefrom and intended to be exported to the EU; the operation of
export certification procedures including the imposition and
subsequent lifting of export restrictions on establishments found
to be non-compliant.
