Details of flange coupling
Rigid Flange Coupling is simply called the flange coupling. It
belongs to the rigid coupling. It connects two flanges with a
flange and is connected with two axes by ordinary flat keys.
Rigid Flange Coupling's hinge is made of bolts to realize the two
axle pairs and the bolts are subjected to extrusion and shearing to
transmit the torque.
Rigid Flange Coupling can be made of grey cast iron or carbon steel
for material. Cast steel or forged steel is used when heavy load or
circle speed is high. The Rigid Flange Coupling has a very high
demand for two axis neutral. When two axes have relative
displacement, they will cause additional loads in the machine parts
and make the work worse.

Flange couplings do not have radial, axial and angular compensation
performance. If the centering accuracy of the two shafts cannot be
guaranteed during use, it will reduce the service life,
transmission accuracy and transmission efficiency of the coupling,
and cause vibration And noise.

Flange couplings are widely used for low-speed, high-torque, smooth
load, short and rigid shaft connections.
