In a microwave system, one channel of microwave power is often
divided into several channels in proportion, which is a problem of
power distribution. The components that realize this function are

include: directional couplers, power distributors, and various
microwave branch devices. The coupler is a radio frequency device
that extracts a small part of the signal from the wireless signal
trunk channel. It is a power distribution device like the power
divider. The difference is that the coupler is an unequal power
distribution device. The use of the coupler and the power divider
is mainly to achieve a goal-to make the transmission power of the
signal source evenly distributed to the antenna ports of the indoor
distribution system as much as possible, so that the transmission
power of each antenna port is basically the same. Waveguide high
directivity directional coupler
Covering the full waveguide bandwidth, the coupling degree can be
selected from 3-60dB, the flatness is optimal, and the cost is
higher than the cross coupler.
Waveguide Cross Directional Coupler
Covering 20% of the waveguide bandwidth, the selectable range of
coupling is 20-60dB, and the directivity of 23-15dB is better than
that of a waveguide ring coupler.
Waveguide ring coupler
Covers 20% of the waveguide bandwidth, with a selectable range of
20-60dB, directivity of 20-15dB, and small size. Mostly used for
system detection below 10G.
3dB directional coupler
Covers 20% of the waveguide bandwidth, 3dB coupling, and the two
outputs are 90 degrees out of phase
Probe coupler
Covering 20% of the waveguide bandwidth, the selectable range of
coupling is 10-60dB, non-directional, large standing wave and
smallest volume.
