Impregnated diamond core bit
Impregnated diamond drill bits are used for drilling on medium to
ultra hard farmations. By selection of the right bit, drilling life
and penetration rate can be increased.
Impregnated diamond drill bits are designed to perform as grinders.
Diamonds are embedded in an infiltred or sintered matrix. The
matrix erodes away at the same rate as the diamonds become worn and
rounded. Thus new sharp diamonds are exposed to continue cutting
through the rock.
The combination of diamonds and matrix determine the performance of
an impregnated bit. The simultaneous erosion of the matrix and the
diamonds makes the bit self sharpening.

The matrix of our impregnated bits is designed to expose new
diamonds to the bits' cutting face as wear occurs. Fast penetration
rate is maintained as a result of this action.Our impregnated bits
are manufactured to give optimum penetration rates and bit life,
which is required to keep the cost of diamond drilling to a
minimum.The optimum diamond size, concentration and matrix type are
dependent on the hardness and abrasiveness of the formation to be
drilled.

quality 16 mm), results in an extremely stable crown.
By reducing the number of waterways, we created wider segments and
larger base for stronger adhesion to the bit body.
