General description of double girder overhead crane
QDY type double beam overhead foundry crane is one of the main
equipment in the continuous casting technology of steel
manufacturing. It is mainly used for smelting metal transporter,
casting and hot metal charging.
QDY type double beam overhead foundry crane is composed of boxed
bridge frame, hook, crane travelling mechanism and electric system.
The main hook employs a load tool as the lifting device to hoist
steel ladle, the auxiliary hook cooperate with the main hook to
accomplish pouring of molten steel and steel slag, and other
auxiliary hoisting.
QDY type double beam overhead foundry crane travelling mechanism
and main electric equipment are installed in the boxed girder,
which employs rock wool for heat insulation, and has an air cooler
inside. To reduce heat radiation of molten structural members, a
thermal baffle is set along the span direction at the bottom of the
girder.

The working environment of QDY type metallurgical bridge crane:
The application of metallurgical crane is generally applicable to
the ambient temperature from -10℃ to +50℃, the relative humidity
under the temperature of 40℃ does not exceed 50° c. the radiation
temperature of the molten metal to forged hook and plate hook is
not more than 300℃. Inflammable, explosive and corrosive gases
shall not be found in the site and shall comply with the relevant
standards and documents.
