Properties of PTFE
- High Temperature Resistance: PTFE is capable of continued service
at 260℃ (500F).
- Low Temperature Resistance: PTFE remains 5% elongation even if
temperature drops to -196℃(385F).
- Chemical Resistance: PTFE is suitable for almost all chemicals with
the exception of some fluorochemicals and molten alkali metals.

The application of PTFE, in some way, is limited due to its cold
flow or creep, but it can be improved by the addition of different
