Zirconia Material Features:

Zirconium dioxide (chemical formula: ZrO 2) is the main oxide of zirconium. Usually, it is white odorless and odorless crystal, insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid. It usually contains a small amount of hafnium dioxide. Because of its inactive chemical properties, high melting point, high resistivity, high refractive index and low thermal expansion coefficient, it has become an important high temperature resistant material and the main material for artificial drilling.

The stable zirconia of industrial refractories is mostly prepared by electromelting method. The stable zirconia can be prepared by adding carbon and stabilizer calcium oxide to the zircon electrofusion process. While removing silicon, the solid solution is formed by the interaction of zirconia and calcium oxide. The stable zirconia can be prepared by grinding and granulating. Partially stabilized zirconia has high strength and thermal shock resistance, and is widely used in refractories.
