Threaded pipe cap is forged pipe fitting, it has female threads and connect with pipes with male threads. The main function of pipe cap is to block off or seal the end of a pipeline and stop the flow. The advantages of stainless steel threaded cap include preventing leakage, long service life, and reducing costs of pipe connection, and its usage is very simple and fast.

Thread Type of Threaded Pipe Fittings

The most commonly types are NPT, BSPP, BSPT.

NPT pipe cap is National Pipe Thread Tapered type with 60 degree thread angle.

BSPP pipe cap is British standard threaded fittings with parallel thread and 55 degree thread angle.

BPPT is British standard tapered thread fitting with 55 degree thread angle.

They are not recommended to be used together.
