2. 125Y Structured Packing Introduction:
125Y corrugated perforated packing is one main type of structured packings made of metal sheets. The
punched and grooved surface structure provides ideal contact
between gas and liquid flow.
Structured packing was first introduced to the market in 20th century. Its distinct performance advantages became clear very
quickly and lead it to transform the mass transfer market after
then. It is now the preferred packing for many applications.

4. Structured Packing Material & Features:
structured packing uses the industry standard corrugated perforated and embossed
sheet metal design to provide efficient vapour-liquid contact. The
style of the embossed surface has been optimised to provide maximum
wetability and numerous perforations enhance cross mixing of the
process fluids. Type Y has a crimp angle of 45° and type X 30°. Suitable liquid irrigation range from below 0.5 up to 200
m3/m2.hr.
