A version of Type AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel containing nominally 0.46% carbon content,

defined as AISI 420C, german grade EN 1.4034 DIN X46Cr13.

420C stainless can achieve a tempered hardness capability of HRC 57.

It's suitable to the manufacturing of cutting instruments for fine edge components such as razor, cutlery,

medical cutting and utility blade applications.
