1.Hastelloy B2 description

Superior resistance to hydrochloric acid, aluminum chloride catalysts and other strongly reducing

chemicals. Excellent high-temperature strength in inert and vacuum atmospheres.

Hastelloy B2 is a nickel-molybdenum alloy particularly suited for equipment handling reducing chemical

environments .Applications in the chemical process industry involving sulfuric, phosphoric, hydrochloric

and acetic acid. Temperature uses vary from ambient temperature to 1500°F depending on the

environments (please call for technical advice).

2.What is ASTM B163/ASME SB-163

This specification covers seamless tubes of nickel and nickel alloy for use in condenser and heat-

exchanger service. This covers outside diameter and average wall, or outside diameter and

minimum wall tube. Tube shall be furnished in the alloys and conditions defined by this

specification. The material shall conform to the composition limits of nickel, copper, molybdenum,

iron, manganese, carbon, silicon, chromium, aluminium, titanium, phosphorus, cerium, zirconium,

yttrium, born, cobalt, columblum, tungsten, and nitrogen specified. Tensile strength, yield strength,

elongation, and Rockwell hardness of the material shall conform to the required mechanical

properties set by this specification. Test methods such as chemical analysis, tension, rounding

procedure, Rockwell hardness, grain size and hardness conversion shall be performed.

6.What is cold rolled pipe?

We Cold Rolled Steel Tube from steel that undergoes less heat and more pressure. Steel manufacturing

takes place below recrystallization at room temperature.

A cold mill outfitted with specially roughened rollers provides additional processing, giving the steel a

uniform, matte finish. Each cold rolled steel tube comes smooth to the touch and readily paintable using

essentially any paint system.

Available in a wide range of thicknesses and chemistries, cold rolled steel tube is best suited for parts with

a fine finish fabricated in a variety of ways: Bending, expansion, penciling, flattening and extreme deep

drawing.
