PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The transmitter section uses a multiple quantum well laser and is a
class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard
IEC-60825. The receiver section uses an integrated InGaAs detector
preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting
post-amplifier IC.
The small form-factor pluggable (SFP) is a compact, hot-pluggable
transceiver used for both telecommunication and data communications
applications. The form factor and electrical interface are
specified by a multi-source agreement (MSA). It interfaces a
network device motherboard (for a switch, router, media converter
or similar device) to a fiber optic or copper networking cable. It
is a popular industry format jointly developed and supported by
many network vendors. SFP transceivers are designed to support
SONET, Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and other communications standards.
155Mbps SFP BIDI 10KM Optical Transceiver Module is small form
factor pluggable module for bi-directional serial optical data
communications such as STM-8, OC-24,Fiber Channel, It is SFP 20-pin
connector to allow hot plug capability. This module is designed for
single mode fiber and operates at a nominal wavelength of 1310nm.
