The main composition of tungsten carbide strips and bars is tungsten carbide powders and cobalt powders .With its wear resistant and corrosion resistant ability , tungsten carbide nowadays is widely used in many areas such as : cutting tools , moulds , oil and automobile industry etc .

Cemented Carbide Bars is used as the cutter for the woodworking knives for cutting all kinds of original wood , hard wood , HDF, MDF , plywood , particle board , laminated board, composite material ,grass, aluminum and metals . It can give much more excellent performance than HSS .

The base of tungsten steel consists of two parts: one part is the hardened phase; the other part is the bonding metal. The bonding metal is generally an iron group metal, and cobalt and nickel are commonly used. Therefore, there are tungsten-cobalt alloys, tungsten-nickel alloys, and tungsten-titanium-cobalt alloys.

Tungsten Carbide products are widely used as tool material, such as turning tool, milling cutter, planer knife, bit, boring cutter, etc., used for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metal, plastics, chemical fiber, graphite, glass, stone and ordinary steel, also can be used for cutting refractory steel, stainless steel, high manganese steel, tool steel and other difficult materials.
