The conical augers have been designed for drilling in dry soil and
in rock,it can be used for weak rock(<5Mpa).various teeth configurations are available for different soil
conditions.The geometry of the teeth arrangement is optimized for
reaching excellent cutting performance.
There is two types of conical Auger single and double cut
auger,they are applicable for drilling in medium to strong rock
(15~60MPa) with drilling Diameter Range: 600~3000mm,while double
Cut Augers are recommended for bigger diameters uncased boreholes.
An auger usually includes a rotating helical screw blade called a
"flighting" to act as a screw conveyor to remove the drilled out
material. The rotation of the blade causes the material to move out
of the hole being drilled.
In construction, augers are used for special drilling rigs to dig
holes for deep foundation piles. Another use is for piles forming a
piling retaining wall, which can be constructed in the same way as
foundation piles.
The diameter series of augers match with the casing tubes and other lengths and diameters can be supplied on request.
