Background
The sprue bush is a part that allows plastic material to be
injected from the nozzle into the interior of the mold. The tapy A
sprue bushing is fixed to the mold with 2 bolts to prevent it from
falling off due to the injection pressure. In order to prevent
leakage of plastic material, the feed port is generally designed in
an arc shape.
Regarding the material, SKD61 and S45C are commonly used. S45C is a medium carbon steel with excellent wear resistance, but the
ductility is reduced, the quenching performance is not good, and
the hardness after quenching is HRC42, so it is used to make the
sprue bushing of the low-end mold, after the high temperature, its
need to spray anti-rust oil or other anti-rust treatment to prevent
rust.
The relationship between the size of the sprue bushings and the
tonnage of the injection molding machine is as follows. the types
of plastics materials being injection molded have a littell impact
on them.
