The 40ft gooseneck chassis is designed for use in stevedoring and
transporting of 1x40 ft, 1x40HQ, 1x45HQ ISO cargo containers.

Steel Structure:
Main Beams:
a) high tensile steel to fabricated “H” beam, top/bottom flange 16mm
thickness, web 8mm thickness. It is Sufficient for 30,000kg Payload
Trailer. Steel: Q345.
b) No bending is allowed on the main beam chassis. The vertical
deflection of the main beam at center at unloaded is under +12 mm
Bolster:
Front and rear bolster are of hot roller “C” type channel steel
sufficient for 30,000kg Payload Trailer. Steel: Q345.
Cross Member:
There are hot roller “C” type square channel steel cross member and
combination. Height tensile steel plate to support the twist locks
for container.
And height tensile steel plate with triangle gusset to strength the
frame at the location of suspension when the container loaded in.
Material: High strength low alloy steel Q345 with 350 Map yield strength is
used for welded I-beam and Q235 in other fabricated parts.

Each coating has been cured in heat booth before applying the next
coat.
Welding Specification
The frame of container chassis series will be constructed with
steel frame. All steel work will be built up by means of automatic
and semi-automatic CO2 gas arc welding and shielded arc flux-coated
welding. All welding equipment shall be maintained in good working
order to produce acceptable weld quality.
For all fabrication work, the welding procedure and inspection on
the quality of welds shall follow: BS5133 or ANSI/AWS D1.1-98
standard
Prior to welding
All the steel plate surface prior to forming or after will be
degreased and shot blasted to Swedish Standard SA 2.5 to obtain the
surface roughness at 25 to 35 microns which can result in the
remove of all the rust, dirt, mill scale and all other foreign
materials. All the steel surface will be coated with zinc primer
paint immediately to the thickness of 10 microns after
shot-blasting.
After welding
After welding of chassis frame, all welded area in shot blasted to
SA 2.5 to remove all the welding fluxes, spatters, burnt primer
coatings caused by welding heat and other foreign materials and
followed with the secondary zinc primer paint 40 microns operation
immediately.
