1. What's Socket welding flange?

Socket-Weld Flanges has a female socket in which pipe is fitted. Fillet welding is done from outside on the pipe.

2. Standards, Dimensions & Weight

The Socket Welding Flange is attached to the pipe by a fillet weld around the hub of the flange. An optional internal weld may be applied in high stress applications.

This is eliminates any restriction in flow when using a socket welding flange.

This flange type will be welded to a pipe or fitting with a single full penetration, V weld (Buttweld).

5. Material Grade Nickel 200 of Socket welding flange

Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened, commercially pure wrought materials with excellent mechanical properties and resistance to corrosion. It also has exceptional resistance to caustic alkalis at different concentrations and temperatures. However, the corrosion resistance is better in de-aerated acid. The alloy has low gas content and vapor pressure, and high thermal and electrical conductivities.
