FireLess early warning and control device for power battery packs
is a special fire protection product which is developed to solve
the fire caused by the thermal runaway of new energy vehicles’
power battery. The device is an integrated design with multiple
functions including active detection, data analysis, control and
management, which includes high sensitivity temperature sensor, gas
sensor, smoke sensor, flame sensor. It was installed in the battery
pack of the power battery and connected with the automatic fire
extinguishing device and the BMS management system, detecting the
gas, heat, smoke and open fire produced in the early stage of the
fire which are caused by excessive charging and discharging,
external and short circuit and so on in the battery box. Through

The operation principle of system
When the power battery fails and begins to vent pressure and heat,
the detector can detect abnormal changes, and send out early
warning signals to the driver through the CAN bus or wire harness
for the potential stage, smoke stage, high temperature stage and
open fire stage of the fire, which is to realize the classified
early warning and the control of fire-extinguishing device. The
system can intelligently judge and automatically initiate the fire
extinguishing device to prevent the deterioration of the fire
situation, and can also activate the fire extinguishing device
manually during the emergency. The fire extinguishing device
controls the fire in seconds through its high-efficiency fire
extinguishing agent and maximizes the safety of the battery pack.
