Hot dip galvanized gabion basket Description:
The main objective of gabion walls is to control land sliding on
road sides, erosion and scouring on the rivers banks during flood
and high velocity river streams and prevent the water logged areas
from further damaging. They also support the moment of the soil and
rock laterally in hilly areas by providing the function of breast
walls.
The general gabion is a rectangular basket stoutly made of
hexagonal steel wire mesh strengthened by selvedges of heavier wire
and by mesh diaphragms which divide it into 1m long compartments.
Supplied packed flat, it is assemble on site and normally filled in
with quarried stone or large rounded rocks. Sections of gabions are
securely wired together in position to form the required retaining
or anti-erosion structure. Manufactured in a large variety of sizes
and types, the gabion. Cylindrical sack-shaped gabions can also be
manufactured. These sack-shaped gabions work in the siar way as the
rectangular basket gabion.
