Calibration Method Of Pen Type Acidity Tester :

For very precise work the pH meter should be calibrated before each measurement. For normal use calibration should be performed at the beginning of each day. The reason is that the glass electrode does not give a reproducible e.m.f. over longer period of time. Calibration should be performed with at least two standard buffer solutions that span the range of pH values to be measured. For general purposes buffers at pH 4.01 and pH 9.18 are acceptable.

1 Immerse the electrode in PH 6.86 standard buffer solution and gently shake the electrode.
2 After about one minute, regulate the trimmer with a screwdriver until the buffer solution value corresponding to the measurement.
3 Immerse the electrode in PH 4.01 or PH 9.18( the standard buffer solution).
4 After about one minute, regulate the trimmer with a screwdriver until the buffer solution value corresponding to the measurement .

Operating Steps Of Pen Type Acidity Tester :
1. Remove the electrode shield.
2. Clean the pH electrode (activated electrode) with distilled water.
4. Press the "ON/OFF" switch and turn on the power supply.
5. Insert the pH meter into the solution to be measured until the "immersion line" is immersed in the solution.
6. Gently stir the solution, after the solution is even, wait for about 30 seconds to read the display value.
