A booster servomotor supplies pressurized oil to
mechanical-hydraulic governors
and electro-hydraulic actuators at the instant starting air reaches
the engine. This
instant oil pressure eliminates the time required for the rotary
gear pump in the
governor to build up enough oil pressure to move the linkage.
