The principle of the ultrasonic cell breaker is to convert
electrical energy into acoustic energy through transducer. This
energy is transformed into dense bubbles through liquid medium
(such as water). These bubbles burst rapidly, producing energy like
a small bomb, thus playing the role of breaking up cells and other
substances (commonly known as "cavitation effect"). Ultrasound cell
breaker is a multi-functional and multi-purpose instrument which
produces cavitation effect in liquid. It can be used to break up
various animal and plant cells, viral cells, bacteria and tissues,
as well as to break up and recombine various inorganic substances.
It can also be used for emulsification, separation, homogenization,

In the ultrasonic chemical reaction, the key role is the cavitation
effect of acoustic wave. During the irradiation process of
ultrasonic wave, the formation, growth and collapse of cavitation
bubbles will occur in the liquid. When the cavitation bubbles
collapse, a covered strong pressure pulse will be generated, which
will produce many unique properties, such as high temperature up to
5000K and pressure over 200 Mpa. This is called ultrasonic
chemistry. The synthesized energy source can be used to synthesize
nanoparticles on the surface of some special powders.
2. Pharmaceutical Ultrasound
(1) Dispersion of medicinal substances for injection: mixing
phospholipids and cholesterol with drugs in aqueous solution by
appropriate methods, and dispersing by ultrasound, smaller
particles can be obtained for intravenous injection.
(2) Extraction of herbal medicines - Dispersion by ultrasound
destroys plant tissues, accelerates the penetration of solvents
through tissues, and improves the extraction rate of effective
components of Chinese herbal medicines. If it takes more than 5
hours for all alkaloids in cinchona bark to invade by common
methods, it takes only half an hour for them to disperse by
ultrasound.
(3) Preparing suspension - Dispersing a solid drug in aqueous
solution containing surfactant under ultrasonic cavitation and
strong stirring can form oral or intravenous suspension of about
1um. Examples are "intravenous injection of camptothecin
suspension", "liver contrast agent", "barium sulfate suspension".
(4) Preparing vaccines - killing cells or bacteria by ultrasonic
dispersion, and then making vaccines by appropriate methods.
3. Dispersion of Cosmetics by Ultrasound
In order to further extract the essence of drugs and fine
particles, save production costs, achieve the effect of dispersion
and emulsification, make cosmetics penetrate deeper into the skin,
make the skin absorb well, exert the efficacy and effect of drugs,
the use of ultrasonic emulsification can achieve very ideal
results. When ultrasonic dispersion is used, oil particles such as
wax and paraffin emulsification and cosmetic water can be dispersed
without using emulsifier. Paraffin disperses in water with a
particle diameter of less than 1um.
4. Alcoholization-Aging Technology of Wine by Ultrasound
A bottle of fine wine is popular for its mellow taste, soft and
fragrant. People often use old wine to describe the preciousness of
wine. A bottle of old wine in the last century has a price of tens
of thousands of yuan. Its price means the storage of time. The main
controlling factors of wine are chemical changes, i. e. the
formation of acids, and further esterification. Esters participate
in the association of ethanol and water. Newly-produced wines
contain eugenol and have a pungent taste, which takes a long time
to dissolve. This slow change is called alcoholization of wines.
The aging time of wine can be shortened by 1/3 to 1/2 when the
power is 1.6 KW and the frequency is 17.5-22 KHZ for 5-10 minutes.
5. Treatment of Silicon Scale by Ultrasound
In the production of deinked pulp from waste paper, for the quality
of pulp and paper making and the requirement of paper machine
making, there are strict requirements for sticky removal rate and
ink particle residue rate. Therefore, most deinking production
lines adopt thermal dispersion equipment, which is used to
decompose bigger stickies into small particles that can not be seen
by the naked eye and completely remove ink particles that are not
completely separated from the fibre, so as to improve pulp quality.
. In order to improve pulp quality, especially brightness, most
waste paper production lines add chemicals such as hydrogen
peroxide (bleaching agent), sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate
(stabilizer), EDTA before thermal dispersion, so as to achieve high
temperature and high concentration bleaching through thermal
dispersion.
