The PG-60601 contains the device listed in the core of the UL / IEC / EN 60601 requirements. It includes the following probes:

1. Jointed Finger Probe

3.1 Introduction:

The Short Test Pin Probe (conical short taper test pin : Φ3~4-length 15) is designed according to IEC61032 figure 9. The pin is intended to verify the protection against access to hazardous live parts in class 0 equipment and class II equipment (see IEC60536)

4. Rigid Finger Probe

4.1 Introduction:

Rigid Finger Probe (unjointed test finger) is designed according to IEC61032 figure 7 and UL clauses. This probe may be used to verify the protection of persons against access to hazardous parts, and to verify the mechanical strength of openings in the enclosure or internal barriers. 50N force recommend to be applied.

5. Ball Pressure Tester

The ball pressure tester is designed according to IEC60695-10-2, IEC60335, IEC60601, GB4706.1 and etc. the surface of the part to be tested is placed in the horizontal position and a steel ball of 5 mm diameter is pressed against the surface with a force of 20 N. The test is performed in a heating cabinet at a temperature of 75°C ± 2°C. The ball is withdrawn after 1 h and the diameter of the impression made by the ball is measured. An impression greater than 2 mm in diameter constitutes a failure.

6.1 Introduction

The test hook is designed according to IEC60065:2005 and GB8898-2009 figure 4. It is mainly applied to do the protection test against electric shock, it is a necessary tool for QC department.

The IEC60601 Test Probes are packed in a custom-cut foam padded silver case and can be required with the ISO17025 accredited certificates of calibration -- with specific scope for “Accessibility Probes”. And it meets requirements for testing standards including but not limited to CAS601, IEC60601, UL2601 and EN60601.
