1. The applicable escalator refurbishment task
Escalator Modernization Package 510-mod-01 applies to existing 510
escalator replacing all escalator parts except truss, updating and
beautifying the old style off-center handrail balustrade to
slimline center handrail design and the escalator safety system be
upgraded to meet the latest code EN115:2017 requirement.
The 510 escalator was a type of public escalator developed in the
1980s and discontinued in the late 1990s. Typically, the escalator
parts designed lifetime to last about 20 years. In order to keep
the vertical transportation function inside the building, it has to
extend the life cycle of the product service. For the case that the
aged escalators where it is difficult to be removed or replaced by
a fresh unit, the best solution is to conduct our escalator MOD
package.
