304 304L 304H belongs to austenitic stainless steel, which is the most widely used one of the 300 series materials. The only difference is the level of carbon content, 304 has higher strength than 304L, and 304H has the best strength because the carbon content is the highest among the three. 304 stainless steel is a universal stainless steel material, and its rust resistance is stronger than that of 200 series stainless steel materials. High temperature resistance is also relatively good. 304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and good resistance to intergranular corrosion. 304L stainless steel plate contains much less carbon than 304. 304L is better than 304 in anti-pitting corrosion on solder joints or other treatments.
