Classification of wood types on the declaration, and what documents are required respectively

Declaration classification:

1. Ordinary wood (no F under regulatory conditions)

2. Non Endangered Timber (with F regulatory conditions, a non endangered certificate is required)

3. Endangered wood

Materials required for customs declaration of imported timber

1. Ordinary wood: certificate of origin, plant inspection certificate, fumigation certificate, trade contract, packing list, commercial invoice;

2. Non endangered wood: On the basis of ordinary wood, the non endangered certificate shall be obtained in China.

3. Endangered timber: On the basis of ordinary timber, CITES certificate (export permit certificate/cutting certificate) shall be provided abroad, and the endangered certificate shall be applied for at home.

Basic process of timber import:

1. Delivery and arrival

If it is necessary to handle the endangered or non endangered timber, it can be handled before the cargo arrives at the port.

Wood clearance time:

The normal smooth declaration time is about 4 working days, the fumigation time is 48 hours, and the customs clearance time is one week, unless it is subject to customs inspection.

How to handle non endangered and endangered

1. Non endangered handling: first submit the application online, and then send it to the endangered management office with the certificate of origin and the printed stamp on the approved page after the application is approved. After the application is accepted, the certificate will be issued, which will take about 10 working days and cost nothing.

2. Endangered handling: fill in and seal the CITES certificate (original), certificate of origin, plant inspection certificate, fumigation certificate (copy) issued by foreign countries and the form downloaded from the website of the Forestry Bureau, and submit it to the import port forestry bureau. After the port forestry bureau accepts the application, it will be transferred to the Beijing Forestry Bureau for review. Only after the review is passed, can the endangered certificate be issued for more than one month.
