Kovar Strip an iron cobalt nickel alloy with a thermal expansion coefficient similar to that of hard glass. As Kovar alloy is tough and versatile, extensive quality control is applied in the manufacturing process of UNS K94610 alloy to ensure uniform physical and mechanical properties, making drawing, stamping and processing easier. In addition, the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of Kovar is its most dynamic mechanical property.

Application of Kovar Strip

It is used to make iron nickel cobalt alloy strip, bar, plate and pipe with hard glass matching sealing. It is suitable for electric vacuum devices such as transmitting tube, oscillation tube, ignition tube, transistor, tube seal plug and relay shell. With a certain linear expansion coefficient in the temperature range of 20℃-450℃, it can be matched with hard glass and firmly sealed
